Rajeshwari Kala Utsav celebrated at Apeejay School 

Jalandhar, July 21, 2023: Apeejay School Rama Mandi Jalandhar celebrated the spirit of art and creativity and gave wings to the artistic  expressions of their students through Rajeshwari Kala Utsav - 2023.The 99th Birth Anniversary of Rajeshwari Paul, the first lady and wife of Founder Chairman, Dr. Stya Paul and revered mother of Chairperson, Apeejay Education, Madam Sushma Paul Berlia was celebrated with great enthusiasm and zeal.
 
The cultural extravaganza began with the auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony and floral tribute followed by the soulful rendition of bhajans by Music teacher, Nidhi Sharma and the school choir. Classical invocation dance was presented by Divyansha of class VI.

Some memorable glimpses from the life of Rajeshwari Paul were shared with the students through a beautiful Power Point Presentation.

Puppet Show was the highlight of the programme. Hindi teacher, Indu Bala along with her students  narrated an interesting and captivating story with beautiful dancing puppets. The story emphasised on the importance of hard work, positivity and believing in one's dreams and working towards their realization with grit and determination.
 

Raghav Gupta of Class XII (Sc) recited a thoughtful self-composed poem on 'Women Empowerment'.

Jasraj Kararia of XII (Sc) fascinated the audience with his enchanting strings on guitar.
 
Students of Class VII mesmerized the audience with the foot tapping performance on 'Aasmaan di Pari' song.

Nidhi Sharma's performance and melodious voice left everybody spell bound in auditorium.

Energetic bhangra by the girls stole the show and was enjoyed by students.
 
The main attraction of the day was the art exhibition where the artefacts made by the students were displayed. The creativity, imagination and artistic expression of students gathered a lot of appreciation from Principal, Parents and teachers.
 
Principal, A. K. Sharma read the special  message from Sushma Paul Berlia and threw light on the life of Rajeshwari Paul on this special occasion. In his address, he talked about the importance of different forms of art in our lives in the present times. He told the students to focus on learning something new everyday without thinking of the failures or mistakes that they make while learning. He quoted some inspiring incidents from the lives of Napoleon Bonaparte, Meera Bai, Thomas Alva Edison, M S Dhoni and what made them the role models for the future generations. He  appreciated all the participants for their wonderful performances.
 
Vice Principal Aarti Shorey Bhat proposed the Vote of Thanks and  acknowledged the efforts of each and every member of Team APJRMD for putting up a wonderful show.
