Chandigarh, March 4, 2013: The Punjab Government has decided to allocate special fund of Rs. 1,350 crore for upgrading and maintenance of Rural Road network in the state.
Disclosing this here today an official Spokesman said that with a view to further improve and upgradation of Rural Road Network in the state, Punjab Mandi Board, Rural Development Board and Punjab Infrastructure Development Board has jointly initiated this ambitious project, under which a total 11,147.09 kilometer rural road network would be upgraded in coming years.
The Spokesman said that the construction work under this project would be started from April this year and the project would be completed within a record time with a total cost of Rs. 1,350 crore.
