Punjab government notifies state level monitorting committee
Chandigarh, November 23, 2014: The Punjab Government has notified the constitution of state level monitoring committee for the duration of 3 years which will look into reviewing the various aspects for the purpose of implementing ‘National Child Labour Welfare Project’.
Disclosing this, a spokesperson of the labour department said that this committee has been constituted on the lines of ‘central monitoring committee’ and Labour Minister, Punjab, Bhagat Chunni Lal has been appointed Chairman of the Committee.
The spokesperson further said that the Chief Secretary/Secretary (as the case may be) of the labour department will be the Vice-Chairman of the committee. According to the spokesperson, labour commissioner, Punjab has been assigned the duties of member secretary and secretary, labour department, Government of India, New Delhi or his representative, Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Agriculture department, Government of Punjab ,  Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Animal husbandry and veterinary department, Government of Punjab ,  Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be),Education department, Government of Punjab ,  Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Home department, Government of Punjab ,  Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Health department, Government of Punjab ,  Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Law department, Government of Punjab , Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Industry department, Government of Punjab ,  Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Revenue department, Government of Punjab ,   Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Rural development and panchayat department, Government of Punjab ,  Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Scheduled castes and Backward classes welfare department, Government of Punjab , Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Women and child development department, Government of Punjab ,  Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Food and civil supplies department, Government of Punjab ,   Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Information and Public relations department, Government of Punjab  and Chief Secretary/Secretary(as the case may be), Economic Adviser, Government of Punjab have been inducted as members.
The spokesperson further said that from amongst the employers, Surinderpal  Dhoona Raman Export, Jalandhar, Indermohan Jeet Singh Sidhu, Chairman Mahavir Spinning Mill Hoshiarpur, Amarjeet Singh Chawla, Jyoti Industries, Ludhiana, K.K. Garg, Saru Steel Industries, Ludhiana, Jatinder Kumar, Lakshay International, Jalandhar and Mohinder Singh Kochhar, Sangh Acrylic Limited, Amritsar, have been included as members.
According to the spokesperson from amongst the workers, President, Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (Punjab), Inderjeet Singh Saini, M.L. Kalra (Labour Laws Advocate), Veer Ashok, Veer Anil Hans and Gursewak Singh have been inducted as members.
Divulging more details, the spokesperson informed that Centre for Research in Rural and Industrial Development, Chandigarh, Co-ordinator, Ambedkar Centre, Deptt. Of Sociology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Representative of Micro Industries Bharti through Sant Valves, Jalandhar, Sudarshan Sarin representing All India Confesderation Of Small And  Micro Industries Association, New Delhi, President, Hind Mazdoor Sabha (Punjab), Amritsar or his representative, R.S. Parmar, Past District Governor, Rotary International 3080, Rup Nagar, Daljit Singh Grewal, Executive President, Federation of Senior Citizen Association, Chandigarh and John Masih, General Secretary, Punjab Christian Movement, Jalandhar have been included in the said committee as representatives of N.G.Os.
