Jalandhar, November 1, 2014: Punjab Jagriti Manch and Lovely Professional University joined hands to commemorate the 48th foundation day of the present Punjab. Education Minister of Punjab Dr Daljeet Singh Cheema was the Guest of Honour of the day; whereas, Prof Bikram Singh and editor of the Daily Ajit Satnam Manak were main speakers. Chairman of Lovely Group Ramesh Mittal and LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal also graced the occasion.
Minister Dr Cheema exhorted youth to come forward to make Punjab State number one in the country in all aspects. He also put forward various economic challenges in Punjab and also suggested various solutions for the same. Prof Bikram and Manak promoted the culture of Punjab in their impressive and mesmerising speeches and asked youth to remain linked with the heritage and values of Punjab.
LPU youth endeavoured with many attractive programs urging all to avoid ills and remain united for the welfare of the society and the state. All ‘Heroes’ of yester years were also remembered, who sacrificed their lives and struggled for Punjab. Winner of ‘Awaaz Punjab Dee’ Diljaan presented melodious musical concert amid grand felicitation ceremony.
