Punjab Education Department Settles 18 Cases In Public Meeting

Chandigarh, June 23, 2015: The Punjab Education Department has resolved 18 cases out of total 27 presented before the Committee conducting Public meeting to settle all those cases pertaining to the employees of department.
Disclosing this here today Mr Harbans Singh, OSD (Litigation) of the Education Department said that in the public meeting 27 such cases were presented before the committee and out of it 18 cases were disposed off. He said that pending cases were forwarded to the appropriate authority to take action in light of the decision of the Courts.
The meeting was conducted by Legal Cell of the department on the directions of Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister, Punjab. He said that out of the 92 another requests received during the meeting, 54 were also disposed off. He further said apart from these cases the grievances of another 65 employees were listened to sympathetically and the concerned authorities have been asked to take action for the redressal of grievances. He said that such meetings would be permanent fixture in future also.
Mr. Harbans Singh, OSD (Litigation), Mr. Balbir Singh Dhol, DPI (Secondary and Elementary Education), and Mr. Pankaj Sharma, Director, SCERT were present in the meeting.
