Jalandhar, December 12, 2025: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), a premier institution of higher learning, marked a moment of immense pride as Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi was formally honoured by Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal, for delivering distinguished guest lectures at Harvard University, USA. The honour recognised her outstanding contribution to global academia and her role in elevating the institution’s international academic standing.

Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi was invited to deliver a series of lectures under a prestigious extension programme addressing an international cohort of students and scholars from diverse continents and nationalities. Her inaugural two-hour session focused on the critical theme “Ethics in Social and Organisational Structures,” where she seamlessly integrated modern organisational theories with the timeless wisdom of ancient Indian philosophy. Emphasising the concept of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (The World is One Family), she underscored ethics as the foundation of a harmonious and sustainable society.

During her address, Prof. Dwivedi elaborated on the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda, particularly his message of Universal Brotherhood and the idea of “One Earth, One Family,” as articulated at the Parliament of Religions in the USA. She urged scholars to reinterpret ethical leadership through the lens of global unity, moral responsibility, and collective well-being. Her discourse comprehensively examined the meaning and application of ethics in social systems, the importance of a Code of Ethics, the benefits of ethical conduct in corporate environments, and the vital role ethics play in sustaining organisational health.

Honouring Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi for this global achievement, Chander Mohan lauded her for bringing international recognition to Kanya Maha Vidyalaya. He described her accomplishment as a testament to her scholarly excellence and a reflection of KMV’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, ethical values, and women’s leadership in higher education. He added that such global recognition instils pride within the institution and serves as an inspiration for both faculty and students.

In recognition of her exceptional academic contribution, Harvard University has also extended an invitation to Prof. Dwivedi to continue teaching in the upcoming academic schedule. Expressing her gratitude, Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi thanked the management of Arya Shiksha Mandal and Kanya Maha Vidyalaya for their constant support and reaffirmed her commitment to promoting value-based, globally relevant education aimed at empowering women and nurturing ethical leadership worldwide.
