Ludhiana, November 3, 2023: The Munjal Birmingham City University Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MBCIE) recently convened a highly successful meeting with the primary objective of promoting future technology adoption among school Principals and Heads of Computer Science Departments throughout the Ludhiana region. This gathering represents a significant milestone in advancing the cause of technological innovations and training in AI, AR, VR, Data Analytics etc. within educational institutions.

The event's core purpose was to cultivate an atmosphere of learning and innovation, encouraging schools to actively embrace and endorse future technologies. The substantial and active participation of Principals and Computer Science Department Heads from 25 schools underscores the growing interest and commitment within the educational sector towards technological advancement.

This event achieved resounding success, and MBCIE extends its heartfelt appreciation to all participants, speakers, and attendees whose valuable contributions collectively transformed this gathering into a pivotal moment in the promotion of future technology within educational institutions. The esteemed guests at this event included S.K. Rai, Vice Chairman of Hero Cycles; Dr. Prem Kumar, Executive Director of MBCIE; Dr. Bruce Philip, Head of the Graduate School of Management at Birmingham City University's Business School, UK; Dr. Venkatesh Vijay, Associate Professor at the School of Engineering and the Built Environment at Birmingham City University, UK; Mikah Man Zhao, a faculty member from Birmingham City University's Business School, UK; and Dr. Vandna Shahi, Principal of BCM School, Basant Avenue, Ludhiana.

Dr. Prem Kumar opened the proceedings by delivering an introductory address, providing an overview of the event, MBCIE, and Birmingham City University (BCU). He explained the advent of Digital revolution and the advantages for school students in learning digital technologies like AI, VR, AR, Animation and Multimedia. Subsequently, S.K. Rai delivered his address on the New Frontiers of Technology, supplemented by a visual presentation showcasing the strong relationship between the Munjal family and BCU, UK, which culminated in the establishment of MBCIE. Following this, Dr. Bruce Philip and Dr. Venkatesh Vijay delivered insightful presentations on Immersive Technologies, shedding light on the emerging technological landscape and the courses offered by the Munjal Birmingham City University Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to equip individuals for this evolving world.

The representatives from each school were given the opportunity to visit North India's first Metaverse laboratory, a highly advanced facility, to gain first-hand experience with immersive technology, further enriching their understanding of this technology. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Vandna Shahi.
