Principal Apeejay College withdraw suspension order of non teaching employee: Khullar

Jalandhar, November 19, 2016: Non-Teaching employees of Apeejay College of Fine Arts were staged dharna in front of their college gate to protest against the dictatorship of Principal Sucharita Sharma. In this context, a meeting of office bearers of local colleges units was held in DAV College Jalandhar under the presidentship of Mr.Madan Lal Khullar. Mr.Khullar apprised that the non teaching employees of Apeejay College of Fine arts suffered for the last three four months due to the dictatorship of the Principal. He also said that Principal has issued suspension letter to Mr. Sudarshan for participating in Dharna of Private College Non Teaching Employees Union Punjab staged from time to time. He emphasized that the Principal threatened the non teaching employees for dismissing their services and she has also not allowed to park the vehicles of Non teaching employees in the college campus. Mr. Khullar discussed the matter of demotion of Library Attendant to Peon and Driver to Pean with the present office bearers. The main demands of the non teaching employees of Apeejay College of Fine Arts are - withdrawal of suspension order of Mr. Sudarshan Marwaha Nagma/Tabla Player, services of Mrs. Balbir Kaur from Peon to Library Attendant and Mr. Jai Ram from Peon to Driver, Arrears of 01/01/2006 to the non teaching employees, Parking of vehicle in the campus to the non teaching employees. Mr. Khullar also appealed to the College Superintendent Mr. Jaswinder Singh not to do anti non teaching activities and do not show that he is Jai Chand.

State President Mr. Khullar appealed the Principal to fulfil the above said demands within three days otherwise all the local units will protest against her in front of her office in the college campus and the consequences on this account will be on her.

On this occasion, PCNTEU Punjab Vice President Bhupinder Thakur, Joint Secretary, Lakhwinder Singh, chief advisor Mr. Kulwant Singh, Co convener DAV CCC Punjab Ravi Kumar, Manav Rakhra, President, Ram Kumar, Secretary DAV College Unit, Jagdish Singh President and Ashish Sharma of Khalsa College, Sewak Singh of Doaba College, Raman Behl President of HMV, Manohar Lal President and Tarsem Lal Secretary of Apeejay College of Fine Arts were also present.
