Ferozepur, February 10, 2014: Punjab Police and BSF today recovered fake Indian currency notes (FICN) worth Rs.4 lakh, alongwith arms and ammunition, during a joint operation with 143 Bn, BSF from BOP DT Mal.
Manminder Singh, SSP, Ferozepur, alongwith AK Sharma, DIG, BSF, while addressing a press conference, stated that a search operation was carried out at BOP DT Mal during the wee hours after receiving surreptitious information from the sleuths. The search party, later recovered, 2 China-made pistol (.3 caliber), 2 magazines, 74 rounds along with FICN worth Rs.4 lakhs, buried at the designated place, around 1500 meters inside the international fencing.
