Phoolka seeks permission to conduct 84 riots cases free of charges

New Delhi, March 30, 2017: Mr H.S Phoolka has written to Bar Council of Delhi that he has been designated as Leader of Opposition in Punjab Assembly which has the status of Cabinet Minister and hence he has stopped his practise as an Advocate Completely.
However Mr.Phoolka has written to the Bar Council that he is handling the cases of 1984 Anti- Sikh Riots since past 30 years pro- bono and is closely associated with this cause.
Mr Phoolka has sought permission of Bar Council to allow him continue appearing only in 1984 riots cases which he will do without charging any fee at all.
Till the Bar Council grants permission, Mr Phoolka will be present in the Court during the hearing of 1984 cases and will guide the team of lawyers. Today also he was present in Kakardooma Court in Tytler’s Case while Ms Prabhsahay Kaur advocate appeared for victims.
