Jalandhar, October 14, 2025: PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, proudly marked a moment of sporting excellence at the GNDU Inter-College Badminton Championship (B Division) held at Doaba College, Jalandhar.
Demonstrating remarkable skill, determination, and teamwork, the college team emerged champions of the tournament, securing the coveted title for the session 2025–26.
Adding another feather to the institution’s cap, Kritika Thakur, a stellar performer of the team, has been selected to represent Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in the upcoming Inter-University Badminton Championship 2025–26, a testament to her talent and commitment to the sport.
The victory stands as a reflection of rigorous training sessions, unwavering team spirit, and the constant encouragement provided by the Department of Sports and Physical Education. The players exhibited not only technical finesse but also composure, coordination, and resilience, making the triumph even more significant and memorable.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar lauded the outstanding performance of the players and the dedicated efforts of the Department.
