The Department of History of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized an Essay Writing Competition on the Life of Shaheed Udham Singh to commemorate the great martyr and inspire students with his ideals of patriotism and sacrifice.

Jalandhar, July 31, 2026: The Department of History of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organized an Essay Writing Competition on the Life of Shaheed Udham Singh to commemorate the great martyr and inspire students with his ideals of patriotism and sacrifice.
Around 40 students from different classes enthusiastically participated in the competition. The primary objective of the event was to provide students with a platform to showcase their creative writing skills while fostering a spirit of patriotism and national pride.
Demonstrating remarkable literary expression and historical understanding, Narayani of B.A. Semester III secured the First Position. Harpreet Kaur of B.A. Semester III bagged the Second Position, while Amandeep Kaur of B.Sc. Fashion Designing, Semester I, secured the Third Position. Consolation Prizes were awarded to Manveet Kaur and Neha of B.Sc. Fashion Designing, Semester I.
