PCM S.D. College for Women Organises Short Awareness Talk on Drug Abuse
The Buddy Program of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organised a Short Awareness Talk on Drug Abuse to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The activity aimed at encouraging students to openly discuss the issue and understand their role in building a drug-free society.
Jalandhar, March 6, 2026: The Buddy Program of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar organised a Short Awareness Talk on Drug Abuse to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The activity aimed at encouraging students to openly discuss the issue and understand their role in building a drug-free society.
Almost 60 students actively participated in the activity. Various students expressed their views and discussed different aspects of drug abuse, including its physical, psychological, and social consequences. They also deliberated upon the causes of addiction, the importance of strong willpower, and the need for spreading awareness among peers. The discussion-based format of the talk provided students with an opportunity to share their opinions confidently and learn from one another.
The activity proved to be insightful and thought-provoking, strengthening the resolve of the students to stay away from drugs and to motivate others to do the same.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, the members of the Managing Committee and the Principal Dr Pooja Prashar appreciated the initiative taken by the Buddy Program and lauded the enthusiastic participation of the students.
