PCM S.D. College for Women holds Exhibition-cum-Sale on Diwali

Jalandhar, October 22, 2025: The Department of Fashion Designing of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar, organized a vibrant Two-Day exhibition-cum-sale titled “Diwali Fiesta” in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Incubation Cell.
The event aimed to promote creativity, entrepreneurship, and sustainability among students. They showcased their artistic talents by displaying and selling beautifully designed diyas, candles, torans, and Diwali décor items.
A special highlight of the exhibition was the use of waste and recyclable materials to create stunning Diwali wall hangings and decorative pieces, demonstrating the spirit of “Best out of Waste”.
The exhibition drew enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and visitors who appreciated the innovative ideas and eco-friendly approach of the budding designers. The event provided students a valuable platform to develop entrepreneurial skills, market their handmade creations, and gain real-time experience in product presentation and sales.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar appreciated the efforts of the students and the department for encouraging creative thinking and sustainable design practices. The event truly reflected the festive spirit of innovation, craftsmanship, and entrepreneurship that the college strives to nurture.
