PCM S.D College and Collegiate School celebrates Environment Day

The NSS wing of PCM S.D College for Women, Jalandhar in association with Collegiate  School celebrated World Environment Day. NSS Programme Officers, NSS Volunteers and  students   came together to take a pledge to save the environment. 

The programme was aimed at creating awareness amongst the students from an early age.Students gathered and took a pledge: ‘My environment - My responsibility.' They promised that it is their duty to protect the environment and remove garbage from the face of the earth. 

They pledged to reuse and recycle things that they can use.They also chanted many slogans that talked about environmental issues and the measures to curb them. Along with students, teaching and non-teaching staff were also present on occasion and took the pledge. In addition, students  made posters  to make awareness regarding environment. They also by planted saplings in the event. 

President Naresh Kumar Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, the other members of the  Management Committee , the worthy Principal of the college Prof.  (Dr.) Pooja Parashar and the in-charge of the school Sushma Sharma motivated the students to contribute towards the protection of the environment
