Ludhiana, February 5, 2016: A two-day training programme on “Seed Production and Quality Assurance” was organized by the Director (Seeds) of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). A total of 24 officers working under public sector seed producing agencies of Punjab participated in the programme.
The Chief Guest, Dr R.K. Gumber, Additional Director of Research (Crop Improvement), PAU emphasized on the availability of quality seed of improved varieties for distribution amongst the farmers.
Dr Tarsem Singh Dhillon, Director (Seeds), PAU highlighted the importance of quality seed production for enhancing the crop yields.
