Paragon Senior Secondary School 71 hosts Blaze to Chase – Season III

Mohali, August 23, 2026: Paragon Senior Secondary School, Sector 71, Mohali, hosted Blaze to Chase – Season III, bringing together 28 teams from various schools for a vibrant celebration of entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainability. Notably , Blaze to Chase is held every year for the prestigious S. Iqbal Singh Shergill Memorial running trophy.
The event commenced with a welcome speech by Director Fancy Shergill. She encouraged young entrepreneurs to think creatively and envision solutions capable of bringing meaningful change to society. School President Kulwant Kaur Shergill & Principal Jasmeet Kaur were also present on the occasion.
The S. Iqbal Singh Shergill Memorial Running Trophy was clinched by Team Slashers from Vidya Valley School, Kharar. Team Aera Labs from Brookfield International School , New Chandigarh, emerged as the 1st Runner-Up ,while the 2nd Runner-Up position was jointly secured by Team Green Torque from Mata Sahib Kaur Public School, Mohali and Team VisionX from Paragon Senior Secondary School 71, Mohali.
The competition also recognised excellence through five special titles. Team Gulistan Guild from St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School won the Insight Architect Award. Team Smart Gen from DAV Public Sr. Secondary School received the Presentation and Theme Alignment Award. Team Matkavault from Chitkara International School won the Eco Impact Award. Team JVS from Jitendra Veer Sarvhitkari Senior Secondary School received the Innovation in Collaboration Award, while Team Q Swap from Infant Jesus Convent School was honoured with the Next Gen Visionary Award.
The event was judged by an eminent panel comprising Ajit Singh Ahluwalia, Founder of Smart Books India Education Services; Amol Bhardwaj, Co-founder and CTO of Walnut Medical Pvt. Ltd.; and Sidhant Jain, Director at Fashioners.
Under the theme 'Small Cities, Smart Business' the young innovators presented an impressive range of ideas, including solar-powered chargers, alert systems, AI-based solutions, online tutoring apps, and applications for senior citizens, among many others. 
The event truly brought alive the spirit of 'Small Cities, Smart Business,' demonstrating that big ideas can emerge from small cities and pave the way for a brighter future.
Principal Jasmeet Kaur extended a heartfelt vote of thanks to all the participating teams. 
The event concluded on a joyous note with an energetic and captivating dance performance, joined by participants from all the teams.
