Paragon Senior Secondary School- 71 holds investiture ceremony

Mohali, July 18, 2026: Paragon Senior Secondary School, Sector 71, Mohali, organised its annual Investiture Ceremony, formally inducting the newly elected Student Council for the academic session 2026–27. The ceremony was graced by Indian Air Force veteran Jatinder Singh Shergill as the Chief Guest, in the presence of School President Kulwant Kaur Shergill, Director Fancy Shergill, and Principal Jasmeet Kaur.
The newly elected council will be led by Head Boy Dhruv Bhatt (Class XII Non-Medical) and Head Girl Vanshika Arora (Class XII Humanities), along with the newly appointed Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl. House Captains, Vice Captains of the four school houses—Sachin Tendulkar, Rabindranath Tagore, Kalpana Chawla and Isaac Newton—and committee prefects also assumed their leadership responsibilities during the ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Director Fancy Shergill congratulated the newly elected council members and urged them to lead by example, uphold the school's values and inspire their peers through dedication and integrity.
Principal Jasmeet Kaur also extended her congratulations to the student leaders and encouraged them to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity, commitment and excellence.
In his address, Chief Guest Jatinder Singh Shergill spoke about the importance of leadership, discipline and responsibility, motivating the students to become confident, compassionate and responsible citizens. This was followed by the solemn Oath-Taking Ceremony, during which the newly inducted council pledged to uphold the ideals and values of the institution.
The programme commenced with the traditional ‘tilak’ ceremony for the Chief Guest, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and a welcome song presented by the students.
The highlight of the event was the Badge and Sash Ceremony, during which the Chief Guest, President Kulwant Kaur Shergill and other school dignitaries conferred badges and sashes upon the newly elected student leaders. The event  also featured the Flag Ceremony involving the student leaders and concluded with a vibrant cultural dance performance.
The Vote of Thanks was jointly delivered by Head Boy Dhruv Bhatt and Head Girl Vanshika Arora, marking the beginning of a new chapter of student leadership for the academic year.
