Panjab University Releases CDOE Admission Prospectus 2026–27
Panjab University(PU)’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has started the admission process for the session 2026-27 as PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig today released its Admission Prospectus along with the Indian Journal of Distance Education (IJDE) 2023 and 2024.
Chandigarh, June 15, 2026: Panjab University(PU)’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has started the admission process for the session 2026-27 as PU Vice Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig today released its Admission Prospectus along with the Indian Journal of Distance Education (IJDE) 2023 and 2024.
The CDOE Admission Prospectus 2026–27 is available on the PU website at cdoe.puchd.ac.in/show-noticeboard.php?nbid=23. The prospectus provides comprehensive information regarding the programmes offered by CDOE, admission procedures, eligibility criteria, student support services, and academic facilities.
The release ceremony was attended by Prof. Meenakshi Goyal, Dean University Instruction (DUI); Prof. Savita Gupta, Director Research; Prof. Y. P. Verma, Registrar; Prof. Rajat Sandhir, Chairman Dual Degree Committee;Prof. Harsh Gandhar, Director, CDOE; Prof. Sheena Pall, Editor of the Indian Journal of Distance Education; Prof.Mamta Garg; Dr.Purva Mishra, Academic Secretary; and Dr. Anil Kumar, Administration Secretary.
The CDOE has offered a total of 29 programmes designed to meet the educational needs of diverse learners and working professionals. These include four undergraduate programmes—Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) under NEP, Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.LIS.), and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), with the B.Ed. programme being approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
At the postgraduate level, CDOE offers eleven programmes, including M.A. in Education, English, Hindi, Punjabi, Public Administration, Political Science, Economics and Sociology; Master of Commerce (M.Com.); and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Admissions for continuing students in Semester III and Semester V will commence from 7 July 2026, while admissions for Semester-I will begin from 15 July 2026.
Students can access detailed admission information through the official admission portal: cdoeadmissions.puexam.in/. The MBA programme, which is recognised by AICTE, offers 500 seats, and admissions will be conducted through an entrance examination. Further details are available at: cdoe.puchd.ac.in/.
All undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by CDOE are approved by the University Grants Commission–Distance Education Bureau (UGC-DEB). Panjab University is NAAC A++ accredited and holds Category-I Entitled status. Degrees obtained through the Open and Distance Learning mode are recognised as equivalent to degrees offered through the regular mode as per UGC regulations.
The Centre also provides scholarships, freeships, and fee concessions to eligible students in accordance with UGC and Panjab University guidelines. In addition, the Dual Degree Provision, implemented in accordance with Panjab University guidelines from 2023, enables students to pursue two academic programmes simultaneously under prescribed regulations. As part of the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUG) framework has been introduced in the B.Com. programme.
CDOE is also in the process of launching two new programmes—Advanced Diploma in Fashion Entrepreneurship & Management and a Certificate Course in Artificial Intelligence. Both programmes are expected to be introduced in mid-July 2026.
