Panjab University recognized by INFLIBNET 

Chandigarh, November 9, 2023: Panjab University has been recognized by INFLIBNET among top 10 contributors on Shodhgangae-Repository with 8800 plus electronic theses of its research output.  

The honour was given to the University in the International Conference on Electronic Theses & Dissertations(ETD-2023) being organised by INFLIBNET from 26-28 October, 2023 at Gandhinagar, a prestigious yearly international event  held in India this year.
 
Shodhganga e-Repository is an Indian repository of theses & dissertations maintained by INFLIBNET.The UGC Notification (Minimum Standards & Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree, Regulation, 2009 Amendment made on 2016, dated 5th May 2016, Clause 13) mandates submission of electronic version of theses and dissertations by the researchers in universities with an aim to facilitate open access to Indian theses and dissertations to the academic community world-wide. The UGC (Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations (dated 23rd July, 2018 Clause 6 (g)) describes, “HEI shall submit to INFLIBNET soft copies of all Masters, Research program’s dissertations and thesis within a month after the award of degrees for hosting in the digital repository under the “Shodh Ganga e-repository””
The contribution in Shodhganga is an important aspect of NAAC Accreditation as well as hasa direct impact on various national level rankings such as National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), etc.
