Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh has invited applications for admission to the August 2026 Regular Batch of the IAS (Preliminary) Coaching Programme being offered by the Centre for IAS and Other Competitive Examinations. The programme is designed to prepare aspirants for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Chandigarh, July 15, 2026: Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh has invited applications for admission to the August 2026 Regular Batch of the IAS (Preliminary) Coaching Programme being offered by the Centre for IAS and Other Competitive Examinations. The programme is designed to prepare aspirants for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
According to the University press release, the last date for submission of application forms is 22nd July 2026 (5.00 pm). The entrance test will be held on 30th July 2026, while the merit list will be displayed on 31st July 2026. Classes for the selected candidates will commence on 5th August 2026.
The four-month programme will have approximately 70 seats, including 54 for the General category, 11 for SC and 5 for ST candidates. Classes are proposed to be conducted from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
The entrance test will follow the pattern of the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and will consist of 75 objective-type questions.
The course fee is Rs.26,000 plus 18 per cent GST for General category candidates and Rs. 13,000 plus 18 per cent GST for SC/ST candidates. The application form fee is Rs. 200 for General category candidates and Rs. 100 for SC/ST candidates.
The coaching programme includes experienced faculty following the latest UPSC examination pattern, a well-equipped library with round-the-clock Wi-Fi access, smart classrooms, weekly mock tests, module completion evaluations and interactive expert lectures by serving and retired IAS, IPS and IFS officers. No refund of fees will be permitted.
Graduates from any discipline and students appearing in the final year of their graduation are eligible to apply. Applications are to be submitted through the prescribed Google Form made available by the Centre.
