Chandigarh, March 13, 2026: A Cleanliness Drive was organised under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at the parking area of the Department of Computer Science and Application, Panjab University, with the objective of promoting cleanliness, environmental awareness, and community responsibility among students and staff members.
The initiative was organized by Dr. Anuj Kumar, Coordinator of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Panjab University. Numerous students and staff members participated in the drive, demonstrating great enthusiasm and commitment towards maintaining a clean environment.
Addressing the participants, Dr. Anju Sharma, Chairperson of the Department of Computer Science and Applications, motivated the students to actively contribute to cleanliness initiatives and to adopt cleanliness as an integral part of their daily lives.
The drive focused on cleaning the surrounding areas frequently used by students and staff members. Volunteers diligently collected waste, sorted it into biodegradable and non-biodegradable categories, and ensured its proper disposal.
