Orientation Programme Welcomes New Science Students at Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar, October 29, 2025: Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organized an Orientation Programme for the M.Sc. and B.Sc. first-semester students of Botany, Zoology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, and Economics.
The programme was graced by Principal Prof. Navdeep Kaur as the Chief Guest. She was accorded a floral welcome by the Heads of all Science departments. In her inspiring address, Prof. Kaur acquainted the new students with the rich traditions and remarkable achievements of the college in academics, sports, culture, and music. She encouraged them to make the most of their time at the institution, emphasizing that college life plays a pivotal role in shaping one’s future. She also assured students of the best possible learning environment and continuous guidance from the faculty.
The orientation session was conducted by Dr. Geetanjli Kaushal from the Department of Chemistry, who familiarized students with departmental profiles, infrastructure, and laboratory facilities. The event also featured an introductory round for the newcomers, followed by vibrant dance, music, and poetry performances by both freshers and senior students. Tokens of appreciation were presented to all participants.
The stage was efficiently managed by Aastha (M.Sc. Physics, 3rd Semester), while the vote of thanks was delivered by Ritik (M.Sc. Chemistry, 1st Semester).
Among those present were Dr. Gagandeep Kaur (Head, Zoology & Botany), Dr. Harjit Singh (Head, Mathematics), Dr. Simranjeet Singh Bains (Head, Economics), Dr. Rajnish Moudgil (Head, Chemistry), Dr. Narveer Singh (Head, Physics), along with all faculty members of the Science departments. They extended their best wishes for a bright and successful academic journey to all students.
