Chandigarh, August 19, 2025: Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, Chandigarh, organized an orientation program with great enthusiasm to welcome the newly admitted students of B.Ed. and PGDG&C courses on Tuesday.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Swami Bhitiharananda Ji Maharaj, who delivered an inspiring address to the fresh batch of students. In his enlightening discourse, Swami Ji emphasized the importance of balance in life and the value of making thoughtful choices. Drawing wisdom from the Mahabharata, he narrated the story of Arjuna’s hesitation on the battlefield and how guidance from Shri Krishna helped him find clarity. He reminded students that this timeless message remains relevant in their journey as future educators.
Principal, Dr. Sapna Nanda, extended a warm welcome to the students, addressing them as “prospective teachers” and reminding them of their noble calling. She introduced the faculty members and highlighted the college’s mission to nurture quality educators who will play a vital role in shaping future generations. Dr. Nanda also emphasized the sense of responsibility that comes with the teaching profession and urged students to embrace their journey with dedication, integrity, and compassion.
