Opening of New Academic Session in Lyallpur Khalsa College

Jalandhar, July 13, 2016: The academic session 2016-17 opened today in Lyallpur Khalsa College. The occasion was marked by recitation of Sehaj Path of Sri Sukhmani Sahib in the College Gurudwara where the students, staff and President of the College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur, sought blessings from the almighty.
On this occasion, Kirtan of the Holy Gurbani was recited by Bhai Kamaljeet Singh Hazuri Ragi Sri Darbar Sahib Sri Amritsar. Addressing the present, the Principal of the college, Dr. G.S. Samra informed that Lyallpur Khalsa College had once again won Teja Singh Samundari Overall Sports Trophy of Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar in addition to the zonal youth festival of the university this year. He also informed that the college had been awarded potential for excellence status by the UGC which was because of the combined efforts of the staff administration and management.
The occasion was marked by the presence of S. Jaspal Singh Waraich Joint Secretary, S. Jagdeep Singh Shergill, S. Swaran Singh Cheema and S. Ajay Pal Singh Dhillon members of the governing council along with many dignitaries from the region.
