253 PTU students to undergo training at Department of Water Supply & Sanitation

Jalandhar, January 8, 2016: IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) conducted Joint Campus Semester Training drive of Department of Water Supply & Sanitation Department, Punjab at CT Group of Institutions, Shahpur Campus on Thursday for the students of B.Tech(Civil) 2016 Passing Out Batch.
As many as 100 students of participated in the drive from DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology (DAVIET), ACET, GNIEM, CEC Landran, RIMT, RIET, Indo Global, Aryans College and others. 
Er. Kuldeep Saini, Executive Engineer, Department of Water Supply & Sanitation (Punjab)briefed the students about the department’s profile and made them aware that they sought devoted and talented candidates. Saini said that the department is implementing World Bank assisted Punjab Rural Water and Sanitation Sector Improvement project with an estimated cost of Rs. 2200 crore.
Er. Navdeepak Sandhu, Deputy Director, (Corporate Relations & Alumni), IKG PTU said that 92 students are shortlisted at CT Group of Institutions for semester training in Department of Water Supply and Sanitation. Students will get technical as well as managerial exposure during the training and will get Rs. 21,000 as stipend on the basis of their performance, Sandhu added.
University has already organized one semester training drive at its Mohali Campus in which 155 students have been shortlisted by the Department of Water Supply and Sanitation said Mr. M.S. Bedi, Assistant Director, Corporate Relations & Alumni), IKG PTU
Exclaimed over the thunderous response, Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions motivated students to keep on working hard and remain prepared for the important assignments through the company. He emphasized that with the aim of providing the best employment experience to our students, we are grooming them and striding hard to put the efforts. He also thanked the IKG PTU for their commendable support.
