Ludhiana, August 18, 2022: With a vision to promote and nurture entrepreneurial mind-set and enhance the technological acumen of the students, Sat Paul Mittal School organized the Satyan Innovation Fest 2.0 from 18th August to 20th August. The three-day event, kick started on 18th August 2022 with the slogan ‘Be an innovator, not an imitator’. The event aims to revolutionize the conventional paradigm of learning into a modern and futuristic layout by providing an intriguing and augmented reality-learning environment to the students.

The event commenced with a euphoric ceremony attended by the Chief Guest, Ritesh Agarwal, Founder and CEO, OYO. He was accompanied by the galaxy of luminaries, Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Chairman, Governing Council, Sat Paul Mittal School, Divya Pritwani, CEO, Atal Incubation Center, ISB, Akanksha Arora, MIEE and School Mentor for 11 Microsoft Showcase Incubator Schools and Pekki Ouli, Global Minecraft Mentor, Future Skills Project Manager, Poke.

Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Chairman, Governing Council, Sat Paul Mittal School, accorded the chief guest with a floral welcome. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp accompanied by a holy chant of the Ved Mantra to ensure an auspicious inception. The Satyans performed a soul-stirring invocation to seek the blessings of the Almighty for a successful event.

Bipin Gupta, Vice-Chairman, Governing Council, Sat Paul Mittal School welcomed the esteemed guests and the participants. He accentuated that the Satyan Innovative Fest will provide an enriching and positive experience which will promote self-learning, deepen students’ knowledge and cultivate their decision making, social interaction, conflict resolution and emotional awareness skills. He further added that COVID-19 pandemic has made the need for technology-enhanced learning more evident. It is of great importance not only to focus on improving academic performance but also to explore and enhance the students’ social-emotional development and cultivate the 21st century skills.

The opening video gave an insight into how the conclave is an ideal platform for individuals to develop nimble thinking so they could identify problems and find solutions that create value. SIF 2.0 would take young learners through the creative processes of how to generate new groundbreaking ideas and how to evaluate these ideas analytically, thus, teaching the participants the art of communication, time management, negotiation, and collaboration.

A thought-provoking panel discussion was organized to gain valuable insight on future technologies, concepts, and innovations that might be see in the coming years. The exemplary education leaders and visionaries, impressed upon that the need of the hour is to encourage young minds to think along creative lines and find solutions to longstanding societal issues. An interdisciplinary exploration in entrepreneurship, social justice and technology will surely empower students to impact society through proactive technology and conscientious entrepreneurship.

The Chief Guest, Ritesh Agarwal congratulated Sat Paul Mittal School for their endeavor of igniting intellectual inquiry in the students. He strongly asserted that innovation energy should be fuelled and cooperative creativity should be given a platform. With continuous innovation, bright minds will develop self-assurance and the ability to come up with out of the box ideas. He enlightened the students that only grit, passion, self-belief and resilience can help them achieve long-term goals.

The opening ceremony culminated with the grand finale, ‘Punjab di Shaan– Bhangra’ which was purely a treat to the eyes and souls. The electrifying performance immersed the audience in a spirit of revelry. In the end, the vote of thanks was proposed by Bhupinder Gogia, Principal, Sat Paul Mittal School. The Opening ceremony set the stage for the Satyan Innovative Fest and was certainly a befitting start to the great event.
