One Week Value Added Workshop on “Importance of Physiotherapy” 

Chandigarh, August 26, 2022: The Department of Life Long Learning and Extension organized One Week Value Added Workshop on “Importance of Physiotherapy” from 22 to 26 August, 2022.  The workshop was organized in Collaboration with all the Departments of Faculty of Education and Directorate of Sports, Panjab University, Chandigarh.  More than 70 Students and Research Scholars from the Departments of Faculty of Education attended. 

On the first day, Col. (Dr.) Rajesh Adhau a highly decorate Soldier of Kargil War interacted with participants on “Exercise in Heat, Cold and High Altitude.” 

On the 2nd and 3rd day, Dr. Upendra N. Goswami, Head of PGIMER, Chandigarh alongwith Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Physiotherapist, Panjab University, Chandigarh addressed the participants.

On the 4th day of Workshop, Dr. Bibek Adhya, PGIMER, Chandigarh address the participants on Sports injuries and advised number of exercises also.

On 5th day, Dr. Supreet Bindra and Dr. Pankajpreet Singh, both Physiotherapists from Sri Guru Granth Sahib World University, Shri Fatehgarh Sahib address the participants on “Women Health and Geriatric Rehabilitation”.

On Valedictory Function, Dr. P.S. Kang, Chairperson, Department of Life Long Learning & Extension welcomed Dr. Kashmir Singh, Secretary to Vice Chancellor, Panjab University and read output the report of 6 days activities and addressed the participants and appreciated Dr. P.S. Kang & DLLL&E for taking this responsibility and doing it very well.
