DLC SUPVA boosts Professional Pathways in Architecture and Urban Planning with Industry-Aligned Programs
In a bid to equip students with cutting-edge skills in design, planning, and construction, Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA) is offering a comprehensive suite of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programmes under its Faculty of Planning and Architecture.

Rohtak, June 30, 2025: In a bid to equip students with cutting-edge skills in design, planning, and construction, Dada Lakhmi Chand State University of Performing and Visual Arts (DLC SUPVA) is offering a comprehensive suite of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programmes under its Faculty of Planning and Architecture.
From the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) — a five-year studio-based programme that integrates structure, aesthetics, and cultural continuity — to a future-facing Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning, the department is preparing students to meet the demands of a rapidly urbanising and environmentally sensitive India.
Speaking about the relevance of architectural education today, Dr Ajay Bahu Joshi, Head of Department of Planning and Architecture, remarked, “Architecture is no longer confined to drawing boards; it is a field that shapes the lived experience of society. Our curriculum is project-driven, supported by expert faculty, and designed to make students industry-ready from day one.”
The department also offers focused professional programmes, such as the Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Management, Diploma in Interior Design, and a Certificate Programme in Architectural Software — aimed at upskilling not just regular students but also working professionals, homemakers, and retired individuals looking for skill-based employment.
Vice-Chancellor, Dr Amit Arya said, “At DLC SUPVA, our goal is to democratise design education. Through flexible, affordable, and intensive courses, we are bridging the gap between academic learning and market expectations. The Faculty of Planning and Architecture is sculpting a new generation of designers, urban planners, interior stylists, and construction managers — trained not just in blueprints and software, but in real-world impact.”
With a strong emphasis on experiential learning, real-life project exposure, and digital design technologies, the Architecture Department at DLC SUPVA offers great career opportunities to its students. Dean Academic Affairs and Associate Prof (Dept. of Architecture) Dr Ajay Kaushik shares, “On completion of the UG/PG programme, students can end up becoming architectural educationist, freelance architects, etc. They can also work at various government organizations like Public Works Department, Archaeological Department, Town and Country Planning Organization, etc. They can also work as product designer, interior designer at infrastructure firms in public and private sectors.
Admissions are now open for the 2025 academic session, and it has generated a lot of interest, particularly in students seeking practical training and multidisciplinary learning environments.
