The core committee of the conclave established a topical theme this year: Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders: Navigating the Legal Landscape Together. The conclave effectively brought together esteemed industry leaders, visionaries and thought leaders who shared their insights regarding the ever-evolving Indian legal terrain and its challenges.

NMIMS Hyderabad School of Law has always been at the forefront of acknowledging the importance of going beyond the classroom and ensuring practical and experiential learning for its students. This conclave was a step ahead in that direction.

In partnership with PlaceCom, the NMIMS Hyderabad School of Law provided a platform for exchange between legal professionals and students, facilitating several meaningful discussions on pressing contemporary legal topics and themes.

The themes of the panel discussions were ‘Mediation Trends and Development in India: Post Mediation Act, 2023’; ‘Practical Insights into the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code in India’ and ‘Industry Demands - Essential Skills for Corporate Advisors and In-House Counsels’.

The conclave featured three insightful panel discussions, each with a different theme and rooted in the present and future challenges of the legal profession. The event hosted around 16 esteemed speakers, including In-house Counsels, Heads and Vice-Presidents – Legal of MNCs, Senior Advocates and Law Firm Partners from Hyderabad.

Each participating panellist in the conclave was well-recognised and a respected member of the industry. Their insights and experiences offered invaluable perspectives to the attendees, encompassing students, academicians, practitioners, and other stakeholders from the legal fraternity, helping aspiring lawyers with valuable guidance on how to be successful in their future careers by comprehending the underlying challenges in the realm of law.

Apart from guiding students, the conclave also intended to encourage conversations through various interactive sessions. Moreover, the event presented significant networking opportunities for everyone present.

“As an institution, NMIMS is committed to extending the learning curve of our students by providing them an opportunity to learn from experts in an interactive manner. We are glad that we were able to present our students with a wide range of perspectives that encompass the complexities of different legal domains. We truly hope our students feel empowered and better prepared to navigate the legal landscape of India after attending the event. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the respected panellists and attendees. Without their presence and contribution this wouldn't have been possible,” said Dr. Ashwini Deshpande, (I/C) Director, Hyderabad Campus.

“We at NMIMS Hyderabad School of Law wanted all the attendees to hear from the industry experts directly. The goal was to provide them with a realistic picture of the industry and help prepare themselves for the upcoming challenges in their esteemed careers,” said Dr. Md.
