At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar promotion of ancient Indian wisdom is done in routine. In sync recently a MOU was signed between The School of Sanskrit and Indic studies Jawahar Lal Nehru University Delhi (JNU) and KMV Department of Sanskrit and Vedic Research Centre at KMV. The objective is to promote co-operation in education and academic research in the area of ancient culture knowledge. Both parties will collaborate to enhance each other’s educational and academic roles and capabilities through.
1. Exchange of faculty
2. Exchange of research scholars and students
3. Exchange of information and materials in fields of common interest.
4. There will also be collaborative research, lectures and Symposium and joint cultural programmes.
Asserting that ancient Indian literature in Sanskrit contained knowledge which has proved its relevance in the modern Era of I.T. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi said that such collaborative academic exercises were a very healthy practice and would go a long way in promoting mankind’s welfare.
Fashion Technology department conducted a three days workshop at DIPS IMT college Jalandhar. In this workshop Ms Navdeep Kaur regarding Hand Printing at length to all the students of fashion technology department and made the students to perform their skill in this regards. This workshop was quite satisfactory and every student took the advantage of this event. Heartfelt thanks was extended to Ms. Navdeep Kaur through Principal Dr.Simranjeet Singh.
Summer is the time for children to take time off from the regular chore of going to school and getting down to the curriculum. So, the summer camp is, in another way, an opportunity to learn certain life skills while having fun in vacations.
CT World School, Jalandhar planned an innovative two day summer camp including a host of activities to hone the artistic skills of the children and at the same time improving their physical and mental fitness. The school offered endless options from yoga, meditation, horse riding, swimming, carpentry, art & craft, pottery, personality development sessions to photo shoot for the children. Teachers were also the part of these activities and learnt a lot about life skills via meditation and yoga.
Children were taught to strengthen their motor skills, build balance, leadership qualities, and enhance confidence. The children were educated on how to lead a healthy and active lifestyle, learn to love to eat healthy food and how to be confident about their bodies which will help in developing personality and mental fortitude in them.
Mrs. Madhu Sharma, Principal CT World School remarked that, "The formative years are very important, as children learn very quickly and also show interest in various activities. Normal education are structured classes but in hobby sessions they get exposure to a lot of things and pick up what they like and express themselves. This would help the child in becoming more creative."
S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, Mr. Manbir Singh, Managing Director, Mr. Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman encouraged the students and said that students remain engaged in academics throughout the year so during the vacations, we wanted to hone their hobbies.
