NCC Group Commander visits SCD Govt College Ludhiana
The Group Commander NCC Group Ludhiana, Brig PS Cheema, visited SCD Govt College Ludhiana, where he was welcomed by Commanding Officer 4 Punjab Air Squadron NCC, Gp Capt BS Gill. The cadets presented an impressive Guard of Honour, showcasing their discipline and impeccable drill.

Ludhiana, April 23, 2025: The Group Commander NCC Group Ludhiana, Brig PS Cheema, visited SCD Govt College Ludhiana, where he was welcomed by Commanding Officer 4 Punjab Air Squadron NCC, Gp Capt BS Gill. The cadets presented an impressive Guard of Honour, showcasing their discipline and impeccable drill.
During his visit, Brig Cheema interacted with Principal Dr Gursharnjit Singh Sandhu to discuss strategies for implementing NCC's higher directions. The discussion focused on achieving the shared vision of developing youth into potential leaders and responsible citizens, with a clear action plan to guide the Amrit Peedi towards attaining the aim of VIKSIT BHARAT @2047.
In a motivational lecture, Brig Cheema highlighted the importance of building leadership qualities and explained the aims and objectives of NCC. He emphasized the significance of character building, nation-building, and community service, encouraging cadets to participate in initiatives that promote social welfare and national development. The lecture was interactive, engaging ANOs and cadets from various institutes with Air Wing cadets.The officer also covered various strategies and concepts which can initiate continuous improvement and inculcate VICTORIOUS WILL amongst the youth. He underscored the importance of aligning with the Motto and Mission of the NCC to that of the institutes as all are aimed at empowering youth with future ready skills and all stakeholders must act to produce synergy. In the end, the officer obtained an anonymous feedback from the cadets regarding the challenges and predicaments being faced by them. This feedback will be instrumental in addressing the key areas in the overall development of the cadets and also help in shaping the direction of the training and overall development.
The visit underscored NCC's commitment to empowering youth, fostering national unity, and developing capable, confident, and responsible citizens.
