NCC Cadets of PCM S.D. College for Women Steal the Show at CATC-33
The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-33), held at B.D. Arya College from April 1 to April 10, concluded on a high note with outstanding performances by NCC cadets of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar.
Jalandhar, April15, 2026: The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-33), held at B.D. Arya College from April 1 to April 10, concluded on a high note with outstanding performances by NCC cadets of PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar.
The camp was conducted under the dynamic leadership of Colonel R.S. Lehal, Commanding Officer of 2 Punjab Girls Battalion, and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than 400 cadets from various institutions.
A total of 51 cadets from PCM S.D. actively participated in the camp, showcasing exceptional discipline, dedication, and talent. During the 10-day camp, cadets underwent rigorous training sessions, including map reading, drill, weapon training, and various common and specialized NCC subjects, aimed at enhancing their overall personality and leadership skills.
The camp also featured a series of cultural competitions, where our cadets excelled and brought laurels to the institution by securing first positions in multiple events.
In the Group Dance (Bhangra) competition, cadets Tanu, Palakpreet, Vanshika, Tanu Sharma, Parul, Sumishta, Shrishti, and Riya delivered a vibrant performance and clinched first prize.
Similarly, in the Group Song category, cadets Aprajita, Natasha, Tanu, Palakpreet, Shrishti, Parul, Bhawana, Ragini, Khushboo, and Sneha secured top position with their melodious presentation.
In individual events, Corporal Palakpreet won the gold medal in Solo Song, while Sergeant Tanya bagged the gold medal in Solo Dance. The Guard of Honour team, comprising Corporal Tanu, Shrishti, and Riya, earned gold medals, with Corporal Riya leading the contingent as the Commander.
Adding to the achievements, Corporal Parul secured a gold medal in piloting. Cadet Tanu Sharma was honoured with the prestigious “Overall Camp Senior” trophy, while Cadet Tania was awarded the “College Senior” trophy, recognizing their exceptional performance and leadership throughout the camp.
These remarkable accomplishments of the college cadets at CATC-33 are a reflection of their excellence, discipline, and team spirit, setting a shining example for others to follow.
