NCC Cadets of PCM SD College for Women Spread Cleanliness Awareness Through Nukkad Natak at Jalandhar Railway Station. As part of the 77th NCC Raising Day celebrations, NCC cadets of PCM SD, in collaboration with the Railway Department, organized a powerful Nukkad Natak on “Cleanliness and Use of Dustbin” at the Jalandhar Railway Station.
Jalandhar, November 24, 2025: NCC Cadets of PCM SD College for Women Spread Cleanliness Awareness Through Nukkad Natak at Jalandhar Railway Station. As part of the 77th NCC Raising Day celebrations, NCC cadets of PCM SD, in collaboration with the Railway Department, organized a powerful Nukkad Natak on “Cleanliness and Use of Dustbin” at the Jalandhar Railway Station.
The initiative aimed to highlight the importance of hygiene, public responsibility, and sustainable living practices. Through their energetic street play, the cadets emphasized that cleanliness is not solely the duty of the government; rather, each citizen, through small yet consistent efforts, can contribute to building a cleaner and healthier society. Their performance drew attention from passengers, railway staff, and the local public.
Under the guidance of Associate NCC Officer Captain Priya Mahajan, the cadets also conducted an awareness rally around the station premises. Carrying placards with impactful slogans, they encouraged commuters to maintain cleanliness in public spaces and adopt responsible civic behaviour. Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar applauded the enthusiasm and civic sense demonstrated by the cadets. She highlighted that the NCC wing of the college is continuously involved in meaningful extension activities aimed at promoting public awareness on cleanliness. She further appreciated the participation of Ex-NCC Cadets and alumni of college , SUO Shreya Gandhi, SUO Kamalpreet, SUO Dipanshi, and UO Tanya, who returned to support the event, calling it a reflection of the strong motivation, commitment, and values instilled in cadets. Dr. Prasher congratulated ANO Captain Priya Mahajan for effectively nurturing social responsibility among students.
Commanding Officer, 2 PB (G) BN NCC Jalandhar, Col. R.S. Lehal, along with Railway Department officials, Hari Dutt Sharma (Station Superintendent), Sh. Rajesh Dhiman (CMI-I), and Sh. Dinesh Prasad (CHI) also appreciated the efforts of the cadets and acknowledged their contribution towards spreading public awareness.
Faculty members Rachna ( Department of Education) and Jaswinder (Department of Political Science) also accompanied and guided the students during the activity.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Shri Vinod Dada, other members of the managing committee and Principal Dr Pooja Prashar acknowledged the endeavours of the wing for successfully conveying the message that collective responsibility and individual action are essential to maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a sustainable urban environment.
