Rohtak, May 27, 2026: Taking a significant step towards connecting students with future technologies, MDU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Avitree Intelligence Private Limited, an AI-based digital manufacturing company.

Under this MOU, a 'Center for Manufacturing AI Excellence' will be established at the university, where students will receive hands-on training in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Digital Solutions, and Industrial Technology.

In the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia, the MOU was signed by Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal on behalf of MDU, and by Founder and Chairperson Mrinalini Chaudhary on behalf of Avitree Intelligence. Present on the occasion were Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. A.S. Mann, along with Deans from various faculties, faculty members, and company officials.

Under the terms of the MOU, both institutions will undertake joint research projects in the fields of AI, software development, robotics, and digital manufacturing. Students and faculty members will have the opportunity to work on industry-based projects, thereby gaining practical experience with modern technologies and opening up new avenues for employment.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Milap Punia stated that the current era is defined by Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and other emerging digital technologies; consequently, it has become imperative to prepare students in alignment with evolving global requirements. He added that, in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, MDU is continuously striving to bridge the gap between education and the needs of the industry. This partnership will not only impart technical knowledge to students but will also prepare them for the future job market.

Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. A.S. Mann stated that this partnership will provide students and teachers with enhanced opportunities to work on research, innovation, and industry-oriented projects, thereby boosting their practical proficiency and employability. Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal remarked that this MoU will serve as a strong bridge between the university and the industry.
