Rohtak, August 17, 2026: A global study by two MDU research scholars has mapped the rapidly shifting research landscape around electric vehicles, analysing 958 publications from 2011 to 2026 and highlighting the growing focus on charging infrastructure, battery recycling, technology and policy solutions.
The paper by Simran Sehgal and Ruby Gothwal of IMSAR has been published in Emerald Publishing’s Q1 journal Global Knowledge, Memory and Communication under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Divya Malhan.
The study found that early research focused largely on pollution and emissions, while recent work has shifted towards solutions such as carbon reduction, technological innovation, charging infrastructure, battery recycling and sustainable mobility.
It stresses that effective government policies, technological innovation and adequate charging infrastructure need to work together to accelerate EV adoption.
Prof. Divya Malhan said the journal is indexed in Scopus and Web of Science and is ranked Q1 and ABDC-B, describing the publication as a significant contribution to quality research and MDU’s global academic presence.
