MBA Students from UIAMS, Panjab University Secure 2nd Position at IIT Madras Business Fest “Samanvay 2025”
Students from the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University, have brought laurels to the university by securing the 2nd position in Consularium, the McKinsey Consulting Event held at IIT Madras during Samanvay 2025, the 20th edition of the institute’s prestigious Annual Business Festival.
Chandigarh, November 8, 2025: Students from the University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS), Panjab University, have brought laurels to the university by securing the 2nd position in Consularium, the McKinsey Consulting Event held at IIT Madras during Samanvay 2025, the 20th edition of the institute’s prestigious Annual Business Festival.
The winning team comprised Engeeta Ubbu and Raj Kumar from MBA 2nd Year (Banking & Insurance), and Damanpreet from MBA 2nd Year (Capital Markets).
The competition, renowned for its intellectual rigor and industry relevance, witnessed participation from over 700 teams representing top B-schools and universities across India. It aimed to test the strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills of management students through a series of challenging rounds modeled on real-world consulting scenarios.
In the initial quiz round, participants were tested on diverse aspects of business strategy, global management practices, and analytical aptitude. The top 50 teams were then shortlisted for the case study round, where they were presented with complex business challenges simulating actual consulting projects. After multiple evaluation stages, 13 teams advanced to the grand finale, representing India’s premier institutions including various IITs, NITs, and leading management schools.
The UIAMS team demonstrated exceptional strategic insight, structured thinking, and innovative problem-solving abilities in their final presentation before a distinguished panel of judges comprising McKinsey consultants, industry experts, and IIT Madras faculty members. Their ability to blend theoretical concepts with practical business solutions earned them the 2nd position at the national level, marking an outstanding achievement for Panjab University.
