MANOJ TIWARI DIDN’T LIKE THE TITLE OF EK CHUMMA DEDA RAJAJI
Manoj Tiwari kept the audience of Sahitya AajTak 2022 hooked by singing his most popular songs, including Rinkiya Ke Papa. During his session Purabaiya Rang, he also revealed that he was against the title of his 2005 Bhojpuri film opposite Bhagyashree, Ek Chumma Deda Rajaji. Talking about it, he said in Bhojpuri, “I did not like the title of my film opposite Bhagyashree at all. It was called Ek Chumma Deda Rajaji. My brother, Ravi (Kishan) liked it and said we should stick to it. But I felt that it had no connection to the entire film. It was at the very end that the female lead says that he has helped the protagonist so much, so she should get one kiss and says ‘ek chumma deda rajaji’.”
He added why he was against the title and revealed, “My problem was, if we use such a title, then the message that people outside Bihar would get is that it is an often used term in Bhojpuri. Which is not true- and people will have the misconception. Ours is a land of modesty.”

MANOJ TIWARI EXPLAINS ‘SAHITYA’ BEHIND RINKIYA KE PAPA
Manoj Tiwari also opened up about his most loved/ discussed song, Rinkiya Ke Papa. He said, “The song probably has generated the largest number of memes. People have made memes, people laugh about it, but no one understood the ‘sahitya’ behind it. It is all about telling the husband to treat his wife like a friend. If your ‘mehraru’(beloved) is angry at you, take it in your stride. It was ‘hehe hehe hans dene', not ‘haha haha’, which meant that he should take it in a jovial way. Wouldn’t the relationship last longer like this? If she asks you to make tea on one random day, do it. It will make way for long-term happiness.”
