Suraj Pratap Singh and Gaurav Bajpai Take a Trip Down Memory Lane as They Share Their Favourite Diwali Memories

Diwali is a festival that brings back some of our sweetest childhood memories, from the excitement of bursting crackers to the joy of receiving a special gift and spending time with loved ones. This Diwali, Sun Neo actors Suraj Pratap Singh, who plays Prem in Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani, and Gaurav Bajpai, who plays Abhijeet in Thodi Si Umeed Thoda Sa Aasman, take a trip down memory lane as they share their favourite Diwali memories and how they plan to celebrate the festival this year.

Talking about his childhood memories and how his way of celebrating Diwali has changed over the years, Suraj Pratap Singh shared, “One of my most unforgettable childhood Diwali memories is bursting crackers with my friends. I think most boys must have done this at some point – lighting a cracker and throwing it in the air just to watch it burst! We used to enjoy doing that so much back then. But when I look back today, I realise how foolish and risky it was. First, bursting so many crackers is not right, and doing such stunts with crackers is even more dangerous. I would request everyone not to try anything like this. Diwali is about happiness and togetherness, so spend time with your family, enjoy, have fun, and if you do burst crackers, please be careful and take all the necessary safety precautions.

He further added, “Earlier, I was someone who loved bursting crackers and celebrating Diwali with full excitement, but now I enjoy spending quality time with my family, sharing sweets and making memories with them. This year, I will be celebrating Diwali with my Divya Prem: Pyaar Aur Rahasya Ki Kahani family. I am especially excited to spend time with all the kids on the set. We will have lots of fun, enjoy sweets and celebrate together. Celebrating with children brings a different kind of happiness, and I am sure it will be a very special Diwali for all of us.”

Sharing his fondest childhood memory and festive plans, Gaurav Bajpai said, “One of my most special childhood Diwali memories is when my father gifted me a bike. It was a beautiful surprise, and the happiness I felt that day is something I still cherish. I have always been a crackers person because I love the excitement and festive energy they bring, although diyas, sweets and traditions are equally important. This Diwali, I wish to achieve success in life while also having peace, happiness and good health for my family. I believe success is truly meaningful when your loved ones are happy and by your side.

He also said, “My Diwali plans are quite simple and traditional. I will begin by cleaning and decorating my home, followed by Lakshmi-Ganesh Puja. After that, it will be all about spending quality time with family and friends, enjoying delicious food, sweets and making beautiful memories together. For me, Diwali is all about happiness, togetherness and celebrating these special moments with the people who matter the most.”
