Recently, the Red Ribbon Club of the college was felicitated as one of the Best Red Ribbon Clubs at a state-level programme organized by the Directorate of Youth Services, Punjab, in Chandigarh. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu congratulated Prof. Satpal Singh, Coordinator of the Red Ribbon Club, Lyallpur Khalsa College, for this remarkable achievement. He informed that this is the second time the college’s Red Ribbon Club has received such recognition at the state level.
Dr. Sandhu added that true success comes through hard work and persistent efforts carried out with dedication and selflessness. He further stated that such state-level recognitions motivate teachers and students to work with greater enthusiasm and commitment toward social causes.
Prof. Satpal Singh informed that the Red Ribbon Club regularly organizes various awareness programmes related to HIV/AIDS, blood donation, cleanliness and other social issues. He also shared that volunteer Gurwinder Kaur was honoured at the state level as one of the Best Peers of Punjab.
He expressed his gratitude to the President of the College Governing Council, the Principal, Assistant Director Jalandhar Ravi Dara and the Directorate of Youth Services, Punjab for their continuous guidance and for providing opportunities to the club and its volunteers.
