Lyallpur Khalsa College NSS Volunteers' Record Participation in State & National Level Camps

Jalandhar, May 5, 2025: Lyallpur Khalsa College is committed for the overall development of its students and provides ample opportunities to its students for personality development at different levels of camps and mega events. Recently, 16 NSS volunteers of the college attended Adventure Camps, National Integration Camp and Marathon against Drugs. Principal Dr. Suman Chopra, during the felicitation ceremony, said that the college endeavors to provide suitable platforms for learning through hands-on experience programs. She added that these programs are very vital for the mental well being of the students as these events not only make the students physically fit but also make them more confident and responsible in terms of state representation, self reliance and team work. Prof. Satpal Singh, Chief Program Officer, NSS informed that in the last 30 days16 NSS volunteers have attended adventure camps like Trekking at Mcleodganj, Water Sports at Pong Dam Talwara and River Rafting at Manali. Moreover 02 NSS volunteers Dhruv Sharma And Kritika represented Punjab in the National Integration Camp at Odisha. While 05 volunteers ran the Daudta Punjab marathon while others assisted the administration in the organization of the event under the campaign War Against Drugs organized by Govt. of Punjab. These youth empowerment programs enable students to develop their decision making abilities, increase their agility and fitness and get awareness about social issues. Volunteers thanked Youth Services, Govt. of Punjab, District Administration, College Governing Council, Principal and NSS unit LKC for providing such opportunities.
