Lyallpur Khalsa College NSS unit’s Glorious Achievements at State and National Level
Simran adjudged as best speaker at World Youth Parliament at Pune
Jalandhar, April 9, 2026: The NSS Unit of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, brought laurels to the college in March by participating in record state and national level events such as the North East Youth Festival at Nagaland, World Youth Parliament, National Integration Camps (NIC), State Youth Parliament, and State NSS Convention. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu felicitated the participants, noting that their achievements would inspire others to replicate similar feats in the future. He added that Lyallpur Khalsa College provides every possible support for students to showcase their hidden talents at both state and national platforms, congratulating the NSS unit for its consistent national presence.
The NSS Chief Program Officer, who represented Guru Nanak Dev University at the State NSS Convention at Kharar, highlighted notable volunteer achievements. Natasha and Ritika were the only female volunteers from GNDU selected for the North East Youth Festival in Nagaland. Simran was adjudged the best speaker at the World Youth Parliament in Pune in the Peace and Security track. Manish and Daman participated in NIC at Bihar, Ragunandan and Dev Ansh attended NIC at Haryana, while Sukhpreet and Simran attended NIC at Gujarat.
Additionally, volunteers Natasha, Komal, Bhoomika, and Ritika participated in the Inter-state Youth Exchange Program at Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Gurwinder Kaur was invited to attend the State NSS Convention at Kharar, and Ekta Pandey and Vanshika participated in the State Youth Parliament at Chandigarh. Jaskaran Singh won ₹20,000 and goodies as one of the best change-makers on the My Bharat portal for his active participation in online activities.
All achievers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the President of the College Governing Council, Principal, Department of Youth Services, Punjab, State NSS Cell, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, India, for providing such life-changing opportunities.
