Lyallpur Khalsa College Lifts first Runner-up Trophy in Youth Festival

Jalandhar: With its excellent performance in 2016 Guru Nanak Dev University youth zonal festival at Amritsar, Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar claimed the First Runner-up trophy for zonal competitions. The trophy was awarded to the College Principal Dr.G.S.Samra at Amritsar who along with college ECA Dean Dr.Rashpal Sandhu, senior teachers and the jubilant ECA team received it from the Vice Chancellor Dr. A.S. Brar. On the concluding day the college won second positions in Folk Orchestra and Group Dance, thus amounting to a total of 5 first, 17 second and 6 third positions, forming a total score of 107 points.
The college won First positions in Classical Inst. (Per.), Classical Inst. (Non-Per.), Western Vocal Solo, Folk Song , second positions in Bhangra, Mimicry, One Act Play, Fancy Dress, Gidha, Classical Dance, Western, Group Song, Vaar Singing, Classical Vocal, Geet/Gazal, Poetical, Symposium, Painting, Clay Modeling, Debate, Rangoli, Folk Orchestra, Group Dance and third positions Group Shabad, Kavishri, Cartooning, Poster making, Collage making, Installation.
Speaking to the present the College principal Dr. Samra lauded the efforts of the ECA team of the College and said that the college was committed to all round development of its students. The president of the College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur congratulated the College staff and students on the achievement.
