Lyallpur Khalsa College celebrated Lohri traditionally
The festival of Lohri was celebrated in a traditional manner at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, a prominent educational institution with special achievements in the fields of academic education, culture, research, sports, and literature. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, along with all teaching and non-teaching staff, shared the joy of Lohri by lighting the Lohri 'dhooni' and distributing groundnuts, rice cakes, and sweets.
Jalandhar, January 13, 2026: The festival of Lohri was celebrated in a traditional manner at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, a prominent educational institution with special achievements in the fields of academic education, culture, research, sports, and literature. Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu, along with all teaching and non-teaching staff, shared the joy of Lohri by lighting the Lohri 'dhooni' and distributing groundnuts, rice cakes, and sweets.
Principal Dr. Rashpal Singh Sandhu extended his greetings to all the staff and students on the occasion of Lohri. He said that while the festival of Lohri is a festival of sharing happiness, it also has historical significance. He added that this festival brings warmth and happiness to life and relationships. In today's changing social, cultural, and global phenomena, the festival of Lohri strengthens bonds in relationships.
On this Lohri festival, he wished that the almighty would fill the hearts of the staff and students with new energy and that this year would be full of progress and happiness for Lyallpur Khalsa College and the entire community. During the function, the student artists of the college added color to the celebrations by singing Lohri songs.
