Lyallpur Khalsa College Achievers honoured

Jalandhar, April 12, 2015: Students and teachers of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar contributing to the outstanding performance of Guru Nanak Dev University in the Zonal and National Youth Festivals were honoured in the University. In a brief yet impressive function held recently, the Vice Chancellor Dr A.S. Brar honoured, apart from 18 students of the college, the college Principal Dr.G.S.Samra Dr. Raspal Sandhu Dean Cultural Affairs and teachers Prof. Harpreet Kaur and Prof. Jatinder Singh. The university contingent that won the North Zone Intervarsity Cultural Trophy at Jammu University and stood Ist Runners Up in the National Intervarsity Competitions at Indore chiefly consisted of Khalsa College students. The college was awarded cash prizes worth Rs 3,80,000 of which 13 college students were awarded Rs.20000 each whereas 4 students were awarded Rs.12000 each.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Sharanjeet Singh Dhillon Registrar, Dr. Jagjit Kaur Director Youth Welfare and Sarabjit Kaur Brar. The College principal Dr. G.S. Samra expressed his thanks to the University for the honour. Balbir Kaur President College Governing Council congratulated the staff and students on this honour.
