Workshop on Financial Literacy at KMV

Jalandhar, April 18, 2015: A one-day workshop on ‘Financial Literacy’ was organised by P.G.Department of Commerce and Business Administration of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar in collaboration with SEBI & SRCC, New Delhi.  The erudite speaker of the day was Dr. Abhay Jain from Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi.  In his discourse, he covered holistic topics such as investments, business, personal growth and money management.  The tips given by him helped the students to learn important money management lessons.  He pointed to a clear need for personal finance training among our nation’s youth.  The workshop was a memorable learning experience for the students as they gained practical money skills and learnt how to manage expenses, understand credit and debt management, protect themselves from fraud and save their future.

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma, thanked the resource persons for promoting financial awareness among the students and highlighting various career avenues available after being financially literate.  She also appreciated Poonam Gupta, Dr. Neeraj Maini, Dr. Sabina Batra, Rashmi Sharma and other faculty members of the P.G. Department of Commerce & Business Administration for organising the workshop in a meticulous manner.
