DM Sachin Gupta orders to impose Section 163 at Examination Centers during Board Exams
District Magistrate Sachin Gupta has issued prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to ensure the peaceful, fair, and smooth conduct of board examinations being conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana.
Rohtak, February 17, 2026: District Magistrate Sachin Gupta has issued prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, to ensure the peaceful, fair, and smooth conduct of board examinations being conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana.
These orders will remain effective from February 25, 2026 to April 1, 2026 at all designated examination centers across the district. The examinations include Secondary (Regular/Reappear/Open School), Senior Secondary, and D.El.Ed.
As per the orders issued by the District Magistrate, assembly of five or more persons is strictly prohibited within a radius of 100 meters of all examination centers. Carrying of arms or weapons, including firearms, swords, gandasa, lathi, spear, axe, knife, or any other lethal object, is also strictly prohibited in the vicinity of examination centres.
Further, during the examination period, photostat/Xerox shops, duplicating facilities, and cyber cafés located within 100 meters of examination centers shall remain closed, to prevent any unfair means during examinations.
The orders also stipulate that entry to examination centers shall be restricted strictly to candidates appearing in the examination and staff deployed on duty. No unauthorized or outside persons shall be allowed inside the examination centers. These prohibitory orders shall not apply to police personnel and other public servants on official duty.
The District Magistrate has warned that any violation of these orders will invite legal action under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and other relevant provisions of law. The district administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring a transparent, fair, and disturbance-free examination environment for all students.
