Love for Mother Earth Re-kindled in Young Hearts

Ludhiana, July 20, 2016: BCM Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh Road organized a plethora of activities to re-kindle the spirit of loving Mother Earth & saving its environment in young hearts of the students. Importance of trees for human survival is indisputable and making children aware about it is need of hour. For Classes I, II and III a Poem Recitation Competition was conducted by the Eco Club on the topic ‘Save Trees’ where the students recited glories of Earth dressed in eye-catching props. The students of Classes IV-V discussed destructive effects of our Modern lifestyle on the environment in a Declamation Contest while for classes VI, VII & VIII a quiz competition was organized by the Quiz Club. Students participated in these activities with great vehemence and took a pledge to do their part in protecting our ailing planet. The Principal Mr. D.P. Guleria in his speech said that future of Earth lies in hands of the children & they must be trained about their responsibility at an early age when their minds are easily impressionable.
