LICENSES FOR SALE OF CRACKERS TO BE ISSUED ON OCTOBER 29

APPLICATIONS CAN BE DEPOSITED TILL 5 PM ON OCTOBER 26: DEPUTY COMMISSIONER Ludhiana, October 22, 2018: Deputy Commissioner Mr Pardeep Kumar Agrawal has informed that those interested in taking licenses for sale of crackers, can apply till 5 pm on October 26, 2018 and the licenses would be issued at Bachat Bhawan at 2 pm on October 29, 2018. Mr Agrawal informed that applications for taking licenses for area under Police Commissionerate Ludhiana, the forms can be collected as well as submitted at the License Branch, Police Commissionerate Office, Ludhiana. Whereas applications for Khanna can be deposited at MA Branch in the office of Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana. Mr Agrawal informed that as compared to the year 2016, this time, only 20 percent licenses would be issued after preliminary inquiry through the lottery system. He said that as per the orders of Punjab & Haryana High Court, the fire crackers can be sold only at designated places. He said that in Ludhiana district, a total of 37 licenses would be issued for a total of 7 sites and for one site in Khanna, three licenses would be issued. In Police Commissionerate Ludhiana and Khanna, these sites are Grain Market Salem Tabri (13), Sector 39 Chandigarh Road opposite Vardhman Mill (09), Model Town Extension (01), Pakhowal Road near Canal bridge (04), Dugri Phase 1 GLADA ground (04), Sub Registrar Office opposite Haibowal (03), private site near Lodhi Club (03) and vacant space adjoining Atwal Palace Khanna (03). Mr Agrawal informed that at the time of depositing the application, the documents have to be deposited as mentioned in the checklist collected at the time of collecting application form. He said that in case the documents are found to be false, the application would be rejected.
