KMV’s Reader’s Club organizes various literary competitions for students 

Jalandhar, March 16, 2022: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized a Book Review & Self composed poem recitation competition. The competition was organized by Reader's Club under the aegis of Student Welfare Department. The books for review competition included fiction, non-fiction, biography and autobiography. 

The main motive of the event was to develop reading skills among students & to provide the students a suitable platform to showcase their creative skills. Number of students participated actively in the event and expressed their views on various books pertaining to three languages namely English, Hindi & Punjabi. Moreover, students also recited their self composed poems pertaining to various topics related to literature and life. 

Principal Prof.(Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated & honored the students who were declared winners during the competition and also encouraged them to keep up the same zeal. She averred that books quench our thoughts for knowledge and reading enhances our language skills and develops fluency, which helps us to express our thoughts and ideas better. She lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare & Dr Neetu Chopra, Co-ordinator for successfully organizing the event.
